Massimiliano Allegri's former manager Giovanni Galeone says
the Italian will become Chelsea's new boss in the summer
after receiving a "fantastic" offer from Roman Abramovich.
On Monday, Juventus director Beppe Marotta insisted Allegri
would not be leaving his post as the club's manager and
dismissed reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.

But Galeone, who managed Allegri during their time together
at Pescara, says the 48-year-old will move to England and
has all the attributes to succeed in the Premier League.
"I think Max will go to Chelsea and will do very well. As one of
the five best coaches in the world, he will leave Juventus, it
makes no sense to remain still in Italy," he told Radio Radio.
"For me, he will leave Italy, and I see him going to England
because the proposal offered by Roman Abramovich is really
fantastic.
"Allegri is doing incredible things, even if the club failed to buy
the players he requested last summer."
Chelsea's interim-manager Guus Hiddink has refused to
commit himself to the club beyond the end of the season and
recently revealed he had been approached to manage in the
Chinese Super League .

Allegri won the Serie A title during his first season in charge
of AC Milan in 2010-11 and spent three-and-a-half years at the
San Siro before joining Juventus in the summer of 2014.
He then helped Juventus to the league title, the Coppa Italia
and reaching the Champions League final last season, his
first in charge of the club.
Juventus have won their last 14 league matches and sit
second in the table, two points off leaders Napoli.

Manchester United reveal revenue rise after Champions League return
Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is
delighted with the club's financial results
Manchester United have announced a quarterly profit of
£18.6m with a total revenue of £133.8m, up 26.6 per cent on
the same period last year.
The results mean United remain on course to become the first
British club to earn more than half a billion pounds in one
year despite a disappointing campaign in the Premier League
and early exit from the Champions League.
United's 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday left them six points
adrift of the top four with 13 matches remaining, but their
their second-quarterly financial results released on Thursday
showed the club expects revenue for the year to hit up to
£510m. No British club in history has recorded such a figure.
Africa hots up for CAF Confederation Cup
Africa hots up for CAF Confederation
Cup
Africa Sports of the Ivory Coast, Villa from Uganda and Al
Ittihad of Libya are among the top African clubs featuring in
the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds this
weekend.
The 17-time Ivorian league winners Africa Sports have won
the now rested Africa Cup Winners Cup twice, while Al Ittihad
of Tripoli have appeared in the various continental
championships since 1967, reaching the semi-finals of the
Confederation Cup in 2010.
Al Ittihad have been forced to play their home game on Friday
against Sonidep of Niger in neighbouring Tunisia because of
the war in Libya.
Two-time African champions Esperance from Tunisia and
Morocco's FUS Rabat have a bye and so will see action from
the first round in March.
The second-tier Confederation Cup has been hit by the
withdrawal of Gaborone United of Botswana and Wallidan
from Gambia, giving JKU of Zanzibar and Mouloudia d'Oran
byes.
Ajax Cape Town of South Africa only rescinded a decision to
pull out of their match against Angola's Sagrada Esperanca
after they were warned by the South Africa Football
Association (SAFA).
Worried about the bad image South Africa has in Africa,
SAFA ordered Ajax, who were concerned with internal travels
arrangements in Angola, to fly to Angola or they could face
some severe sanctions.
Nigeria's Nasarawa United are back in international football
after they last featured in both the CAF Champions League
and Confederation Cup in 2007.
On Sunday, 'The Solid Miners' will welcome Senegalese second
division side Generation Foot, who caused a major upset when
they beat Casa Sports to win their country's cup competition
and qualify for the Confederation Cup.
"We want a big win, in order to make the second leg an easier
session for us," said Nasarawa United chairman Isaac Danladi.
"We have experienced continental football before when we
played in the CAF Champions League some years ago. It is
not an entirely strange territory.
"We see this as an opportunity to confirm how much progress
Nasarawa United have made over the years."
Congo's Diables Noire and V Mokanda are both at home this
weekend against Africa Sports and Nigeria cup holders Awka
United.
The confidence of Awka United from the oil-rich Niger Delta
region of Nigeria has been boosted after they won a pre-
season tournament that included Nigeria champions Enyimba
and Warri Wolves, who will both feature in the CAF
Champions League.
They are led by experienced Belgian coach Maurice Cooreman
and have improved their squad with several top signings like
Jude Aneke, who was top scorer of the Nigeria league four
years ago.
Other interesting fixtures include Kawkab Marrakesh
(Morocco) v USFA (Burundi), Saint Eloi Lupopo (DR Congo) v
Bandari (Kenya) and El Khartoum (Sudan) v Villa (Uganda).
The return leg matches will be played on the weekend of
February 26-28 with the overall winners advancing to the
round of 32 to be played from March 11 to 13.
Blanc extends PGS contract until 2018
"Laurent Blanc is now tied to the capital's club until 30 June,
2018," PSG said on its official Twitter feed.
Former France international Blanc arrived at PSG in 2013
after Italian Carlo Ancelotti left for Real Madrid, despite the
initial reservations of the club's Qatari owners who wanted a
bigger-name manager.
But the 50-year-old had his contract extended in 2014, and
has so far won eight trophies with the Parisians, last year
achieving an unprecedented domestic quadruple.
And PSG are riding high in the French top-flight this season,
with a lead of 24 points over nearest rivals Monaco with only
13 more matches to play.
PSG are also still in contention for the French Cup and
League Cup.
But the real aim for the French giants is a first-ever
Champions League crown after bowing out at the quarter-
final stage for the past three seasons.
PSG take on struggling Premier League Champions Chelsea at
home on Tuesday in the first-leg of their round of 16 clash.
124 Crocodiles Suffocate in Mexico Truck Trip
More than 120 crocodiles died from apparently suffocating
and crushing each other while being transported across
Mexico in a truck, authorities said.
The wildlife company Cocodrilos Exoticos, based in the
Caribbean coast state of Quintana Roo, could face a fine of
up to $193,000, the environmental prosecutor’s office said.
World’s Top Heavyweight Reptiles: Photos
The 124 reptiles were among 350 Morelet’s crocodiles from
another farm, Cocodrilos Mexicanos, located in the
northwestern Pacific coast state of Sinaloa, the office said in
a statement.
But inspectors discovered that 124 of the 350 specimens were
dead when they arrived at the “Cocodrilia” wildlife
conservation facility in the Caribbean coast town of
Chetumal. There are 2,550 kilometers (1,580 miles) between
the two cities.
The crocodiles “presumably died from suffocation and being
crushed during the trip,” the statement said.
Crocodiles Starving To Death As Owner’s
Assets Frozen
Pictures released by the prosecutor’s office showed the
large truck and a handful of dead crocodiles on the ground,
including one with its neck twisted.
The company is accused of failing to guarantee “dignified
treatment” for the animals under wildlife protection laws.
The Cocodrilia conservation site acquired nearly 5,000
crocodiles from the Sinaloa company.
