I'm not ready for trial- Dasuki

I’m not ready for trial - Dasuki
Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, today told a
Federal High Court in Abuja that he was not ready for his trial to
be continued. Speaking at the hearing of the money laundering
charges filed against him by the Department of State Security
DSS today February 16th, speaking through his Counsel, Joseph
Dauda, Dasuki said he will not be available for the trial until the
Federal government obey the court orders that granted him bail
last year.
Dasuki was re-arrested by the DSS on fresh charges of money
laundering and illegal possession of firearms after he had
fulfilled bail conditions for separate charges filed against him by
EFCC.
Counsel to Dasuki, Joseph Dauda, while presenting his argument
to the judge, said “We cannot be ready for trial until the
defendant enjoys his constitutional rights.
We apply that we should be given time to prepare the defence.
The conduct of the prosecution has not enabled him to enjoy his
constitutional rights. The worst is that for about seven weeks we
do not know where he is. Any of us here who proceeds to defend
an accused person in this circumstance may lose his license of
practice.”he said
The judge adjourned the hearing to March 3rd.

Heartbroken mum receives balloon from her dead child's 'ghost'

Video: Heartbroken mum receives balloon
from her dead child's 'ghost'
The heart-breaking footage, begins with the camera focusing on
the white coffin of a small child which is sitting on an alter. As
the wake progresses, one of the white balloons at the venue
starts to strangely move around and eventually makes its way
towards the distraught mum.
The video which is believed to have been filmed in Mexico shows
the woman weeping while Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud plays.
The balloon makes its way towards the woman and hovers
around her head.
Rather than continuing to float, it actually stays for at least 20
seconds before the grief- stricken mum noticed the strange
occurrence. She eventually reaches out to it and cuddles it .
Since the clip was posted online, it has sparked a debate amongst
those who've watched it. While some sent their condolences and
messages of support for the mourning mum, others not
convinced by the video made funny remarks:
"What times we live in, a mother is comforted by an
invisible force, and what matters the most is that it was
recorded in a funeral.
“Lie!! The balloon gets stuck on her back and for that
reason does not continue due to airflow. Stop recording
at funerals, Stupid"
"It's like being very thirsty while a bottle of water in front
of you but do not drink the water because there is no
glass. An absurd frivolity"
"How beautiful it happens that children go to heaven are
not souls"
"I think it is a demon confusing mother".

feisty encounter with French champions, Paris Saint Germain
this evening. The Nigerian midfielder wasn't having the best of
nights as he conceded a foul in a dangerous area before
deflecting the resulting free kick into his own goal. He went from
villain to hero as he swept home an equalizer on the stroke of
halftime from a Diego Costa layoff. Chelsea went on to lose the
game 2-1 but thanks to Mikel Obi, they have a vital away goal, a
one-nil victory in the reverse fixture will see then through to the
next round.
