EFCC seizes $1million cash from Badeh’s Abuja home
Badeh's trial for allegedly diverting N3.97 billion belonging to the Nigerian Air Force(NAF) will commence today March 7th at an Abuja High Court.
A top source in EFCC said:
“Apart from NAF funds, investigation confirmed that Badeh diverted funds meant for procurement of arms to Bureau De Change. We have interacted with some Bureau De Change operators. When we searched his mansion at 6, Ogun River Street in Maitama District in Abuja, $1million raw cash was found in one of the rooms. Our operatives made sure that the search of the house was conducted in the presence of Badeh’s neighbours who can attest to the discovery. We ensured that these neighbours witnessed our operation. Badeh has a case to answer on diversion of funds voted for arms procurement. I cannot tell you whether or not he will face separate charges on the $1million".
Miss Rivers reality beauty pageant boot camp, The commissioner for culture and tourism visits
One of the most striking events was the surprise visit by fashion icon Hon. Mrs. Tonye Briggs Oniyide , commissioner for culture and tourism , who ably represented the Rivers State Government , had a session with the girls and promised the first 3 a complete makeover for a year courtesy of her beauty palour ( Hair Republic) .
Also present was the elegant chief Mrs. Kate Stanley, owner of Cheers bar, she also talked to the girls on beauty tips and promised to come back again to show her support and provide additional training on beauty routine.
The Director MRS Entertainments, organizer of the Miss Rivers Reality Beauty Pageant, Raphael Koko, thanked the commissioner for her support and belief in the 2016 theme “THE ROLE OF THE WOMAN IN THE NEW RIVERS VISION” and assured her that the girls would not let Rivers State down and, Rivers state will be projected as a state where the girl child is celebrated for her beauty and brains. however he stressed that there are still vacant spaces available in different local government such as Akuku toru , Degema , Bonny, Gokana , Ogu –bolo, Ahoada-East , Ahoada-West , and Abua-odual local government and auditions are still open for the vacant local Governments today and tomorrow.
The session ended with a session with Barr. Ibelema Greene who had a talk on attitude and boldness.
