Adele Named UK’s Richest Female Musician As Fortune Hits £85m

The 27 year old singer has been named UK’s richest female musician according to the Sunday Times rich List. Within the space of one year, her fortune increased from of £35m to £85m making her the richest UK female artiste and 30th in the UK and Ireland music millionaires list.

The only female singer with a bigger fortune on the list is Irish artiste Enya with £91m..

Adele is also ranked top of the under 30’s rich list after a lucrative year of touring

She made her debut on the under-30s list in 2011 in ninth place, behind stars such as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Katherine Jenkins, now she is number 1.

Over 300 young boys in early puberty undergo mass circumcision at school in Phillipines

Circumcision or 'tuli' as it is known in the Philippines is common in the country with 93% of males circumcised. It is tradition for boys about to enter puberty. Uncircumcised boys are often teased by peers so the boys endure the pain in order to be accepted socially.

According to the World Health Organisation, 30 to 33 percent of men aged 15 or over are circumcised worldwide but the figure is much higher in Philippines at 93% where the majority of the population is Roman Catholic.

The Filipino government funds the annual tradition to ensure that operations are conducted hygienically.

In Marikana city which lies east of the capital, Manila, 300 boys took part in the tradition this week at a local school.

They are encouraged to wear loose, shirt-like clothing after the procedure.
Five years ago 1,500 boys were circumcised on the same day in Marikina City but the Guinness Book of Records rejected an application 'due to hygiene considerations and risks'.

Mother Fights Daughter Openly, For Sleeping With Her Boyfriend

When a family lacks shame, things like this must happen. A terribly enraged woman has carried out a most brutal attack on her own daughter for the most unbelievable reason ever – male lover.

The woman identified as Chiekube Igbinosa in Akumazi community of Delta State, was said to have bit off her daughter’s ear and stabbed her for having s*x with her boyfriend.Sources said the fight which led the mother biting off a scoopful of flesh from the daughter’s ear, took place around camp 74 behind Ibori Golf course in Asaba campus of the Delta State University.

The 46-year-old woman is the secret lover of an Ibo trader who was deported to Nigeria three years ago from Spain, but he allegedly hoodwinked the woman’s daughter into a relationship.

The daughter in question had recently graduated and is on visit to the mother after her Youth Service.

While their love relationship blossoms, the unsuspecting mother who is a school vice principal, was said to have showered her lover boy with gifts.

But this was not to be when the daughter identified as Mabel Igbinosa flippantly opened up to her friend her relationship with the Igbo man who is a building materials trader, including how they made love.

Someone the gist got to the mother and she decided to visit the Igbo man’s housearound Okwe Quarters in Asaba.

After enjoying herself with her mother’s boyfriend, the girl left his house, unknown to her that the mum was around. She immediately pounced on her, bit off her ear before stabbing her with a bottle.Police was later called in and the shameless mother and daughter were taken away.

See How Much Ambode Gave To 2 Policemen Who Recovered N5m That Fell-Off A Bullion Van

The Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday compensated two police officers with commendation letters and N250, 000 cash each, for the recovery of N5 million which fell-off a bullion van around Alausa, Ikeja.
A statement by Mr Adebayo Taofiq, Lagos State Taskforce Public Affairs Officer, said the two policemen were attached to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit ( Taskforce ).
”These two police officers, Insp. Abiona Hezekiah and Sgt. Ogunbiyi Agbabu recently recovered N5 million that fell-off a bullion van around Alausa, Ikeja.
”The money was discovered, after due investigation, to belong to Skye Bank Plc.”.
The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Fatai Owoseni, made the presentation of the commendation letters and cash to the duo.
The statement said that the CP commended the duo for their high sense of patriotism, honesty and integrity in the line of duty.
“This heroic act and professional conduct, is in line with the ‘Change Mantra’ of the present administration which will ensure a renewed confidence in the Nigerian Police Force by the populace.
”I want to appreciate these officers for their honesty and commitment while discharging their duties at the Lagos State Taskforce,” it quoted the governor as saying.
The statement said that the officers thanked the governor and promised to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties at the Lagos State Taskforce.
