7 Real Struggles of Every Fat Nigerian

Being fat today in Nigeria is like a curse because people dread it and would do a lot to avoid being in that position. Fat people do actually go through a lot in the hand of society as they are always at the receiving end of their joke. They take no pity on them when they shade them. They are seen as their own enemy because they eat too much.INFORMATION NIGERIA in this piece, brings you 7 real struggles of every fat Nigerian person…
Unsolicited advice: Slim people automatically become your doctors and make it their point of duty to give you guidelines on how to check your weight. This begins with relatives, who tell you to survive on fruits and veggies and exercise till you pass out.
Everyone naturally thinks you’re lazy: You are considered as lazy and incompetent in everything. No matter how hard you try, when you’re fat, people just naturally assume that you’re lazy and can’t do nothing.
Hate shopping: Shopping is a herculean task, because nice clothes don’t fit, and plus sized clothes aren’t that nice, so when someone suggests you go shopping with them, you just give to them like Oprah did.
Conscious of everything: You don’t wake up one morning  and make a random decision like shaving your hair because you would think its going to make you look plumpy.
No to skinny jeans: No matter how much you love skinny jeans, putting them on is an insane process of jumping up and down. Then you have to pray they don’t rip through when you sit. And its actually a hard job finding Jeans that fit perfectly. Getting to Mars by foot might as well be easier than getting  jean your size. When you do find one, you’ll guard those jeans with your life and pray they don’t fade quickly because you’re going to rock them almost everyday.
Dread public transport: Whether the danfo seats are long enough or not, people just naturally assume the fat passenger has taken all the space and they give you the look, when you don’t make any effort to adjust. In fact, you’re expected to pay for more than one seat.
Unsolicited respect: Nobody cares to know your age, they just allude you with the kind of respect they’d give to their grandmother. You are addressed with ‘Ma’ or ‘Sir’ by person who are obviously old enough to be our parents.
Who can relate???

Instagram User Unuigbokhai Sandra shared screenshots from the chat she had with a 'God fearing & very religious' Man who wanted to help her secure a Job. When she politely declined his requests, his ego got hurt and he bitterly started insulting her. See more screenshots as you continue .

8 Reasons You Should Slow Down on Your Soda In-take

Many Nigerians can’t do one meal without driving it down with a can of their favorite soda. Sometimes, it is what gives them he determination to eat at all. However, experts have no qualms about people taking one soda once in a while, but a significant daily intake is the bone of contention. INFORMATION NIGERIA in this piece brings you 9 obvious signs you should cut down on it…
-Your teeth: Taking too much soda will on the long run have a negative effect on your dental health aspect because the sugar content and acidity of soda can destroy your teeth. This is so because, Soda contains phosphoric acid and is well known to interfere with the body’s ability to absorb calcium.
-Belly fat: The high sugar content of soda has been conclusively linked to an increase in abdominal fat-which is dangerous, as this is where many vital organs are.
-Exhaustion and fatigue: Soda most often contain 48 spoonfuls of sugar. The body usually contains only two teaspoons of sugar, which makes a ten teaspoons shot of sugar(which is more than what we get from consuming a can of soda) a shock to the system and the body has to push that sugar out of the blood as soon as possible. That’s where the energy surge and hyperactivity comes into play.
Diabetes: Over time, this push and pull on the pancreas to produce more insulin and the cells to accept more sugar results in depleted insulin and insulin resistance of the cells—diabetes.
Dehydrate your body: Any time you’re drink soda, you obviously drink less water. “Sodas do nothing but fill your body with empty calories and sugar, therefore, if you are drinking sodas, you are depriving your body of good clean water and increasing the demand on the pancreas, as it produces the insulin-producing cells with a greater challenge.
Osteoporosis: Soda can steal those important nutrients from your bones, leading to osteoporosis. Beyond the sugars, sodas also contain phosphoric acid, which is known to promote osteoporosis or bone loss by leaching calcium from bones, as well as benzoate or benzoic acid.
Cancer: According to experts, when left in hot temperatures, that benzoic acid can transform into a scarier chemical: benzene. Ever notice your soda tasting chemically ‘off’ when it’s been stored improperly? That’s benzene you’re tasting, a known carcinogen or cancer causing agent.”
Age faster: Not only does soda make you fat, but it can affect your beauty in a totally different way: accelerated aging, “due to the high levels of phosphoric acid in sodas.”
There is nothing more unnatural or detrimental to good health than soda, many experts have warned!!!
