72 year old Indian woman gives birth to her first child after 46 years of marriage

72 year old Daljinder Kaur gave birth to a boy following two years of IVF treatment and hit out at critics who said she was too old, saying she now felt 'complete'.

Mrs Kaur's husband, 79 year old Mohinder Singh Gill admitted yesterday that they tried IVF in a bid to stake a claim in his late father's £500,000 property.

The couple said they desperately wanted to have a child of their own to 'complete' their family and also to end a 40-year legal battle between Mr Gill and his family.
Mr Gill, who is a farmer and lives in Amritsar, in Punjab, admitted that they turned to IVF because 'My father was trying to deprive me of a share in his property on the plea because I didn't have a child" he said.

Mr Gill's father Uttam Singh, who passed away eight years ago, wanted his property to be shared among his children.
However Mr Gill claims his four siblings refused to give him his share because he had no children of his own to take care of.

He added:
'We had been engaged in a tussle for more than four decades."
"When this fight started, I was in my 40s so my wife and I tried to have a baby but there was some medical complication.
'We went to see many doctors but it was the 1970s and 80s, so medical facilities weren't that great.
'It was embarrassing to not be able to produce a child, no doubt, but we got caught with litigation.'

The both said they had given up on having children until they saw an advert for a fertility clinic in Haryana.

They went to the clinic and used donor eggs and after two years of treatment, Mrs Kaur got pregnant. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy in April.
She said:
'God heard our prayers. My life feels complete now. I am looking after the baby all by myself. I feel so full of energy.

Mr Gill said:
'People say, what will happen to the child once we die? But I have full faith in God.'

Nigeria's oil output nears lowest level in 22 years

Nigeria's oil production is set to fall to its lowest level in over 22 years as Royal Dutch Shell local operation says it has shut its major pipeline following a leak. The leakage is as a result of recent attacks on oil pipelines by Niger Delta militants. Shell says it has closed its Nembe crude trunk line which carries all of Nigeria's crude.

Answers to 13 frequently asked questions on the new price of petrol in Nigeria

The Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources has prepared a factsheet that tries to answer all our questions on the new price of petrol in Nigeria: Top 13 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

1.What is the benefit of the new price regime to Nigerians?

This government is elected to serve the people and provide benefits to all. The new pricing regime brings the following benefits:
Solves the recurrent fuel scarcity crisis by ensuring availability of products at all locations of the country
Reduce hoarding, smuggling and diversion substantially and stabilise price at the actual product price
Ensures market stability and Improves fuel supply situation through private sector participation
Creates Labour market stability (will potentially create additional 200,000 jobs through new investments in Refineries and Retails and prevent potential loss of nearly 400,000 jobs in existing investments)
2. Why the new price regime?
This has been brought about by the non-availability of foreign exchange to import petroleum products. Marketers have drastically reduced their importation since Q3 2015 due to a scarcity of forex. There is a need for them to source independent of CBN to be able to meet the nation’s demand. Also the rise in Crude oil price and prevailing high cost of importation has brought back subsidy regime (at the present price of N86.50) since April 2016. Due to decline in government income related to crude oil price and limited crude oil output caused by the spate of renewed vandalism and sabotage of oil infrastructure in the Niger Delta, there is neither funding nor appropriation to cover this in the 2016 Budget.
3. What is the difference between this new price regime and previous price reviews?
Before arriving at the new price regime, a comprehensive study of the costs of importation was undertaken. All stakeholders including marketing companies and independent experts were consulted in arriving at the appropriate cost reflective regime. This is in furtherance of the Price modulation framework rolled out in January 2016 which entails modulating prices down or up on a periodic basis to reflect actual prevailing costs.
4. Is this new price regime a deregulation?
While the Federal Government is not deregulating, the Government through this new price regime will ensure that the price of products are monitored and modulated to ensure that citizens get a fair value for products they purchase.
5. What is the real cost of PMS to the Nigerian consumer?
The estimated “true” cost of PMS was valued to be 243.05NGN per litre. This is factoring the estimated average time spent to obtain PMS at the official price (86.50NGN), the estimated hourly wage of the average Nigerian, the average price of PMS on the black market and the estimated average volume bought per visit to the filling stations and also factoring in the frequency Nigerians source PMS from the different markets
6. Why do we have scarcity?
Unavailability of Foreign exchange and Inability to open letter of credit has forced marketers to stop product importation and this imposed over 90% supply on NNPC since October 2015 in contrast to the past where NNPC supplies ~48% of the national requirement.
NNPC does not have the resources for and is not designed to meet this increase in supply, this has resulted in the current fuel situation across the country.
7. Will the new price regime ensure availability of petroleum products?
The new price regime will allow Marketers source their foreign exchange independently of CBN and ensure adequate product supply in all locations of the country whilst catering for full cost recovery and averaging of prices across the nation
8. Will the new price regime positively impact the economy?
Clearly the continuation of subsidies in any form for PMS limits the ability of Government to deliver its statutory functions such as power generation, security, education, health etc. The new price regime will enable government focus on these critical sectors and free up our scarce foreign exchange via CBN to be used in other sectors
9. What happens to the subsidy provision in the 2016 budget?
There is no provision for subsidy in the 2016 budget
10. Why should Nigerians not enjoy low petroleum prices as the nation is a Major Oil Producer?
Crude oil price is an internationally traded commodity , the prices are not set by the countries that produce it. Neither do oil producing countries get a discount in the international market for producing this product. Furthermore, crude oil price accounts for about 80% of the final cost of fuel. Other costs include depot charges, transportation costs, chemicals, spare parts, raw materials etc. is related to host of economic factors. . Therefore, at the current crude oil price of $40 per barrel, the finished domestic refined fuel sold to Nigerians cannot be priced lower than the cost of the crude plus the other associated costs incurred in converting the crude into PMS and supplying the product to the consumer.
11.How would the Government ensure that Petroleum Marketers sell within the price range?
The relevant regulatory institutions (DPR, PPPRA) will be further empowered to ensure level playing ground, strict compliance with market rules by all stakeholders and consumer protection.
12. How does petrol price in Nigeria compare with those of other countries?
Even with the new price regime, Nigeria would remain one of the cheapest fuel markets in Africa and this could even be lower once competition takes effect. Likelihood of smuggling to Neighboring countries will also be significantly reduced with the new price regime.
13. When do we stop petroleum products importation?
Nigeria will only stop products importation when it attains local production sufficiency. The present administration is working assiduously on key initiatives towards boosting our local refining capacity. The overarching objective is to create a competitive downstream petroleum market in Nigeria and be a net exporter of petroleum products by 2019.

TMZ is reporting that Kylie Jenner and Tyga have officially broken up

n up

As Blac Chyna is entering the Kardashian family, her baby daddy Tyga is on his way out! According to TMZ, Kylie and Tyga have ended their relationship after a year and a half.. Read their report below
Kylie and Tyga are finished ... dunzo ... for good-zo. Sources connected to the former couple tell TMZ ... it happened days before the Met Ball last week. They were both at the gala, but they did not walk the red carpet together, and that was her decision.
As for why ... everyone's being tight-lipped, but we do know this. Tyga took his mom and a model to Mother's Day lunch ... and he's not telling his friends whether she's his new GF. We also know this ... the breakup was acrimonious.
We're told Kylie was bent out of shape that Tyga had the nerve to go to the Met Ball. He was only invited because of her, and she's mad at herself that she didn't think to have him made persona non grata. The 2 have broken up before, but we're told this time there's no going back.

6 Things Any Nigerian Who Grew Up With

Growing up with strict Nigerian parents is just the same thing as enrolling in the Nigerian Defense Academy, NDA. The drills were exactly the same and when you finish, you are as much a soldier as the NDA recruit. Some Nigerian parents take ‘strict’ to a whole new level and there word is law, no one dares break them. Those people who grew up with strict parents know exactly what to expect in this piece. We bet you are already relieving some unpleasant experience you had with your strict parents years ago. INFORMATION NIGERIA can relate and has outlined some of them here, lets check them out…
Never allowed out to play: Even when they are not home and there is no hidden camera watching you, you dare not step out to play hide and seek with kids in your neighbourhood. Even during long holidays, you are kept busy with holiday lectures at school and when you get home, they set their own questions for you like you’re praying for the world scholars exams.
Rigid bedtime: No matter what is happening on earth at the moment, when it is your bedtime it is your bedtime. You do not want to be caught awake and worst of all, in front of TV after your light out. Not even a respected neighbour could save you from what will befall you.

right

They are never wrong: Those kind of parents are always right. Even when they obviously messed up, they never ever admit it but some how find a way to make it your fault.
Friends were never allowed: You had the parents every of your friends were afraid of. You are not allowed to go to friends house after school or weekend and friends are not allowed into your house without their permission. Your obituary will definitely be announced if you attend a social event after school without their permission and by divine luck they found out and having friends of the opposite s*x was totally out of it.
Inspection: You are not allowed to eat out and when you were finally allowed to attend a birthday party in your neighbourhood, you must wait till you got home for them to inspect the package you were given there before you eat it. When you go out visiting with them, you dare not eat or drink anything you were offered, unless of course you want to know what being bruised and homeless means.
Failure was no option: You dare not come  home with anything below an ‘A’ and coming out with first position is your life duty. It doesn’t matter whether there is someone more intelligent than you in your class, it was your responsibility as their child to be the scholar at all places and time.
Which did we miss guys???
