Mural of Donald Trump kissing Vladimir Putin goes viral

A mural on the side of a restaurant in Lithuania depicting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump kissing Russian President Vladimir Putin has gone viral for.
The mural was created on Friday by artist Mindaugas Bonanu at the barbecue restaurant Keule Ruke.
The restaurant’s co-owner, Dominykas said:

“We see many similarities between these two ‘heroes’ (Putin and Trump). They both have huge egos, and it’s amusing to see they are getting along well,”Čečkauskas said in an interview with Agence France-Presse. “It seems we have a new Cold War, and America may have a president who seeks friendship with Russia.”
During Trump’s campaign, Putin said Trump wouldn't be a bad president and Donald Trump responded by saying he would “get along fine” with Putin as president.

The restaurant shared a photo of the mural with the caption, “MAKE EVERYTHING GREAT AGAIN.”

Man chokes 8 year old girl unconscious in a restaurant and carries her into the bathroom stall

A woman and her 8-year-old daughter went to Jason's Deli in Chicago for lunch last Saturday at about 1:15 pm and had a very traumatic experience. According to the mum, her daughter wanted to use the bathroom and she allowed her to go alone, a few minutes later, she heard her daughter scream and she ran into the bathroom only for her to see a man carrying her unconscious daughter into a bathroom stall.

She tried to get into the stall to rescue her daughter but the man kept fighting and pushing her out of the stall, fortunately the mother's screams brought employees of the deli and some customers to the stall and they helped rescue her daughter. They held the man till the Police arrived.

According to Chicago police press release, the mother saw a terrifying scene: "33-year-old Reese M. Hartstirn carrying the unconscious girl into a stall".
Police allege that he had choked the 8 year old girl with his hands until she lost consciousness. After the mother rescued her daughter, other customers and employees held Hartstirn until police arrived.

In a statement Jason's Deli praised their employees and customers for helping out the woman and her daughter. The statement read:
"We’re blessed to have a wonderful relationship with the Chicago Police Department." "Many of them are our customers and because of their connection to our deli, this unfortunate situation was handled very quickly. We’re proud of how our team members responded and thankful that we have the kind of customers that are willing to lend a hand in a difficult situation. We continue to work hard every day to make every customer happy."
The girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital by her mother, but no information has been released on her condition.

Hartstirn has been charged with felony counts of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery of a child.

After he got arrested and was taken to the police station, he allegedly started swinging at a police officer. So they added a misdemeanor charge to his previous charge. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of battery and aggravated assault of a peace officer.

Hartstirn was denied bond on Monday and remanded to custody.

He is due back in court for a hearing on May 16.

Guardian Launches online TV platform

Lagos, Nigeria – The Guardian, Nigeria’s most trusted newspaper, launched its online TV platform, Guardian TV, on Tuesday, April 26.
Guardian TV will provide exclusive video interviews, as well as up-to-the-minute videos from across the world, and will be available on virtually any device that has an internet connection, including personal computers, tablets, smartphones, and Smart TVs.

Guardian TV has partnered with some of the world’s top online news and video outlets in order to provide it’s viewers with the best in news entertainment and sport. Partners include Al Jazeera, AFP, Reuters, CNBC Africa, Bloomberg, Forbes Africa TV and France 24. The list also includes Blustar Entertainment, Ebony Life TV, Ovation TV, Frontera, Channels TV, and Omnisport, the world’s number one sports content provider.
The website, www.tv.guardian.ng, officially launched today, and The Guardian’s Executive Director, Toke Alex Ibru, is confident Guardian TV will revolutionise the short form video content market in this part of the world.
He says:
“Guardian TV will offer content providers a platform to reach out to larger audiences and demographics, both locally and internationally. I expect Guardian TV to in the not-too-distant-future become the number one source in Nigeria for quality short videos on news, entertainment and sports.”
The service is being launched in partnership with Ventra Media Group a full-service digital marketing and rights agency whose range of services includes digital strategy, growing social media audiences and planning, as well as buying digital media for brands and content owners. The outfit also specialises in platform development and monetisation for content owners such as The Guardian.

Daryn Wober, CEO, Ventra Media Group says:
“We believe that Guardian TV represents the first of its kind in the market where a traditional newspaper business has stepped forward to provide a dedicated online video platform. The combination of Ventra’s product and technical expertise combined with the online reach of The Guardian will provide audiences with an unparalleled service.”
The launch of Guardian TV comes after the complete re-launch of The Guardian’s digital platform.

The new service is part of a continued investment by the group in to its digital operations and products. The organisation has signalled its intent to launch products and services that can compete on an international basis
